Adding the widget

1. Go to your home screen.
2. Hold an empty spot until the icons wiggle.
3. Tap Edit, top left, then Add Widget.
4. Search "Life Dump".
5. Pick a size, tap Add Widget, then come back to the app.

A new phone, or the app reinstalled

Open Life Dump and sign in with the same Apple Account you used before. Your journal comes back from its backup, and the days since fill in from your camera roll. People and pets are found again on the new phone, so give it a little while (it's quickest plugged in overnight).

Your free month and subscriptions

Your first month is free. To cancel a subscription, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and pick Life Dump; cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. Bought it before, on this Apple Account? Tap "restore" under the plans in the app.

A photo missing from a page

Pages take photos from this phone's camera (and our camera). Photos saved from WhatsApp or Messages, screenshots, very blurry shots and near-duplicates are left off. Photos only in iCloud come in the next time the app is opened.

Deleting your data

In the app, Memories → Account → Delete everything deletes your account, your backup and everything the app keeps on your phone. You can also email us and we'll do it. What leaves your phone and why is on the privacy page.
